For some, the winter season is synonymous with gloom. From March 5 to 7, 2010, you will find the antidepressant you need at the Acropolis in Nice. For the first time, chocolate will take center stage at the Palais des Congrès et des Expositions. Sponsored by the famous pastry and chocolatier Yves Thuriès, this show is an opportunity to discover master chocolatiers from both private chocolate shops and prestigious hotels. Among them are David Bonnet from the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, Christian Camprini, chocolatier Meilleur Ouvrier de France, and the young pastry chef chocolatier Boudhib from Nice. You will also have the chance to make your own macarons. A chocolatey show, but watch out for indigestion.

Winner of the contest: “La main d’or au Féminin 2010” will reveal all the secrets of their making.
For the youngest, schoolchildren aged 4 to 12, a creative workshop that will awaken the taste buds and delight little gourmets.

11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Jean Pierre ROUS (Master sommelier – President Slow Food Southeast) will explain the subtle and delicious links between Wine and Chocolate
2:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Yves Thuriès (renowned chocolatier twice Meilleur Ouvrier de France) will talk about working with chocolate and hold several signing sessions
2:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Book signing by Jo Gasparetti author of “Pan & Pâtissoun”
