The choir Coràson at La Semeuse: Song of the World, a concert, a journey

Latest News

Just a year ago, Coràson was merely an idea, a group of individuals in search of a collective experience. Today, this cosmopolitan choir is proud to have in its ranks about thirty members who share dynamism and cohesion, innovation and musical identity, and above all, a first accomplished repertoire, Chant du monde, whose concert tonight* is the culmination.

corason.jpg Chant du monde is just a mirror in which Coràson reflects its diversity, a living mosaic that constantly disassembles and reassembles, presenting a series of musical worlds both near and far in time and space.

The songs chosen for this repertoire constitute a journey around the Earth in every direction, where the ancient and the contemporary, the north and the south, fantasy and reality stand side by side. This is not an attempt to appropriate the world, but to belong to it.

Coràson – chamber choir – was born in October 2012 in Nice, founded on the desire to sing, but also to exchange and create. With the primary aim of promoting choral culture as a real component of a progressive society, Coràson develops an extensive unique repertoire exploring new musical territories.

Today, the Coràson association comprises around thirty choristers from all walks of life: France, Italy, England, Ecuador, Syria, Brazil, Uruguay, the United States, Lebanon. Coràson aims to be cosmopolitan and open, which is its strength and charm.
