Alternately cigarmakers, peasants, servants, or witches, the sopranos and altos of the Choir will perform some of the most famous and beautiful arias from lyrical works of the 19th and 20th centuries (Bizet, Gounod, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Bernstein, Honegger, Sullivan, Offenbach, Rossini, etc.).
This choir is composed of 40 lyrical artists. It undertakes the entire lyrical season, participates in concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nice, and in exceptional events. The choir has gained fame in numerous theaters, festivals, and musical recordings.

Under the direction of Giulio Magnanini
After studying music at the Ottorino Respighi School in Imperia, Giulio Magnanini completed his piano studies at the Niccolรฒ Paganini Conservatory in Genoa and choir conducting at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin. He was engaged at the Nice Opera in October 1994 as the first assistant to the choir directors, Dante Ghersi, and then to Jean Laforge. In July 1996, he presented his first production for the Nice Opera, La Traviata, during the “Musiques au Cลur” Festival in Antibes. Since May 1997, he has presided over the future endeavors of the Nice Opera Choir.
