Both young and old enjoy the illuminations and the Christmas village in Nice. This year, the city is adorned with a luminous white cloak and covered in a thick layer of ice for a wonderful “Christmas on Ice.”
Until Sunday, January 4, 2016, traditional decorations will accompany snowflakes, ice crystals, and unique luminous sculptures like the Apollo of the Fontaine du Soleil under a dome, the Ice Castle on the water mirror, and the skiing Santa Claus facing Lenval hospital.
The evening walks will leave no one indifferent, and the city also offers residents the “neighborhood little train” to discover them…
Open every day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays), the Christmas Village gathers around sixty chalets housing a wide range of crafts predominantly based on Christmas products.
And, all of this is done with respect for the environment, particularly through reduced energy consumption.
Happy end-of-year celebrations in Nice!
