1. Meg 2: The Trench by Ben Wheatley

65 million years ago, the Earth and its oceans were inhabited by dinosaurs. Creatures that shouldn’t coexist with humans without turning the situation catastrophic. This second installment of the blockbuster released in 2018 explores even deeper marine depths swarming with fearsome megalodons and more… When Jason Statham and Jing Wu, leading a team of researchers, come face to face with these superpredators, their mission takes a terrifying turn.

2. It Looks Like the Planet Mars by Stรฉphane Lafleur

A team of astronauts is sent to Mars for the first manned mission. Because the mission is in jeopardy, a Canadian branch of the space agency comes up with an original idea. After recruiting five individuals with psychological profiles closely matching those of the astronauts, the agency sends them into the middle of the desert. They must live, think, and act like the astronauts. The goal: to observe their behavior to find solutions to potential problems that may arise on Mars. But these individuals are not real astronauts, and this desert certainly isn’t the red planet…

3. Yannick by Quentin Dupieux

During a performance of the play “Le Cocu”, a not-so-great farce, a spectator stands up and interrupts the actors. The script does not please Yannick; worse, the story depresses him instead of cheering him up. Faced with this unknown individual who becomes threatening, the actors are forced to adapt their performance to survive this wild evening.

4. Tropic by Edouard Salier

The twins Lรกzaro and Tristรกn are part of a military program aiming to train the cream of the crop of tomorrow’s astronauts. Their mother has sacrificed everything to allow them to live this life. Their dream: to embark together on the “Eternity” mission. When Tristรกn is contaminated by a toxic residue that transforms him physically and mentally, everything falls apart.

5. The Hummingbird by Francesca Archibugi

Marco Carrera meets Luisa Lattes by the sea in the 1970s. A beautiful girl, a bit unusual, whom he’ll never quite be able to forget. Their romantic relationship never goes beyond the platonic stage. Marco lives his life in Rome with another woman, Marina, with whom he has a daughter, Adรจle. Faced with a grim fate that subjects him to terrible trials, Marco finds himself in Florence. Another person enters the scene: Daniele Carradori, Marina’s psychoanalyst. He teaches Marco to cope with life’s upheavals. This drama is an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Italian author Sandro Veronesi.
