During a visit, the delegation from Nice had the opportunity to meet with Chiara Appendino, the Mayor of Turin, to discuss new cooperation projects to be established between the two cities, particularly the European project “Pactesur.”
This project, dedicated to securing public spaces, has a budget of 3.2 million euros, 90% of which is funded by the European Commission. It is expected to launch in January 2019 in the territories of the three partner cities: Nice, Turin, and Liรจge.
The project will facilitate joint exercises among municipal police forces to enhance their intervention capabilities and invest in cutting-edge equipment to further secure public spaces, similar to the security improvements on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.
