The city of Nice’s municipal council meeting will be broadcast starting at 8:30 AM on the city’s official website: www.nice.fr. The agenda includes the budget orientations debate, the Promising Campus project, disabled sports, and the creation of a day shelter for women victims of violence.
The budget orientations debate will undoubtedly be the main focus of today’s municipal council. In these times of crisis, constructing a budget is not easy, and deciding on its use for the year is even more challenging. There is no doubt that the debates are likely to be intense and animated by everyone’s perspectives.
The UMP election and criticisms regarding state management should also find a place between, or during, the various deliberations for what is one of the last, if not the last, municipal meetings of the year.

ECONOMY – FINANCES – 2013 Budget

7.1 – Budget orientation debate – 2013 financial year.
This deliberation concerns the presentation to the municipal council of the budget orientation debate document for the 2013 financial year, outlining the budgetary elements planned for 2013.
HIGHER EDUCATION – Promising Campus Operation

10.1 Promising Campus Project. Student life operation at Saint-Jean d’Angély.
The municipal council is proposed to authorize the signing of a sales promise to SEM HABITAT 06. Additionally, this entity will be permitted to conduct feasibility studies for the Promising Campus operation program, which particularly includes the construction of a Student House, approximately 150 student housing units, a Faculty Club of about 50 housing units, and administrative premises for CROUS services.
SOCIAL – SOLIDARITY – DISABILITY

14.2 – Sports activities for people with disabilities
The municipal council is proposed to approve an agreement setting the terms for implementing “acrosport” activities for people with disabilities, and to authorize free access for groups registered for the first time to fitness, weight training, and skating sessions offered to adults with disabilities, for a duration of one season, as part of a discovery session.

16.1 – Request for funding from the Directorate General for Social Cohesion for the creation by the city of Nice of a day shelter for women victims of domestic violence. The municipal council is proposed to authorize the mayor to request financial aid from the Directorate General for Social Cohesion, the General Council, the Regional Council, and the Family Allowance Fund of the Alpes Maritimes for a day shelter for women victims of domestic violence.
ENVIRONMENT

2.1 – Presentation of the 2012 annual report on sustainable development policy of the city of Nice. Prior to the budget orientation debate, it is proposed to the municipal council to take note of the 2012 annual report on the commune’s sustainable development status.
CULTURE

35.1 – MAMAC: Acquisition of a work by Bernard Aubertin. It is proposed to the municipal council to approve the acquisition contract for a work by Bernard Aubertin in favor of MAMAC and to authorize the mayor or his representative to sign it.
