Committed to the fight against the spread of Covid-19, the city of Nice continues to carry out awareness campaigns.
The city of Nice is conducting a series of awareness initiatives to combat the coronavirus. After being in the Moulins district about ten days ago, some officials visited the eastern sector of the azure city. Christian Estrosi’s first deputy, Anthony Borrรฉ, notably visited the Ariane neighborhood. He was accompanied by Fatima Khaldi, Nice’s deputy mayor, and municipal councilors, Barbara Prot and Karim Ben Ahmed.
In partnership with Cรดte d’Azur Habitat, the city organized a door-to-door day to raise awareness among residents about the importance of following safety measures and wearing masks. “The situation remains concerning, and respecting safety measures is important,” explains Anthony Borrรฉ. “We are fighting together to make sure residents are aware of the safety measures and vaccination.” The first deputy was thus able to speak with many residents in the eastern sector about the necessity of adhering to current health protocols.
Providing Kits to Residents
Many young people from the Moulins Homework Assistance and Animation Association (ADAM) also participated in this initiative, accompanied by officials and mediators. This initiative was crucial in the eyes of Anthony Borrรฉ. “Our action is balanced between control and prevention. If we are united and committed in the same direction to fight this virus, we will be able to overcome it,” acknowledges Christian Estrosi’s first deputy.
This door-to-door operation went very well, and each resident received a kit containing an informational leaflet, a bag of 10 surgical masks, and a bottle of hand sanitizer. A successful awareness operation in the Ariane neighborhood where Covid-19 spread rates remain concerning. Throughout the evening, participants in this operation reached out to 700 residents in the area to raise awareness. Other neighborhoods are also expected to be targeted in the coming weeks.
Two weeks ago, we were at the Moulins, today we are at the Ariane for an awareness campaign on safety measures. This mission will remind over 700 Cรดte d’Azur Habitat households of good practices. #COVID19 pic.twitter.com/owDnbQ6GeI
