Following the laxity observed during this past weekend (more than 100 fines), the tetrarchy (Mayor, Prefect, Prosecutor): “We work in a collegiate manner, hand in hand, each representing a link in a chain with a single goal: winning the battle against the virus.” – said Christian Estrosi – has decided to go further with disciplinary measures to manage the defiant ones.

To begin with, the curfew will start at 8 PM (and not 11 PM) in the Notre-Dame, Trachel neighborhoods, and surrounding areas where rule violations seem most frequent.

The Mayor of Nice announced a municipal decree to regulate the hours for sports practice: “It will be authorized to do sports between 6 AM and 12 PM as well as between 6 PM and 8 PM.”

Furthermore, a multidisciplinary team from the city of Nice’s services will remind various businesses of good practices in terms of health protocols and social distancing.
