The students of Aimé Césaire school will be able to get an introduction to music this Thursday, November 17. They will have the opportunity to discover many musical instruments that will be distributed to them so that they can play them.
This initiative is part of the “Nice 100% Culture at School” program, implemented by Christian Estrosi, to make culture accessible to all children. For this “Orchestra at School” operation, we have the presence of Jean-Luc Gagliolo, Deputy Mayor assigned to Education, Culture at School, Books, the Fight against Illiteracy, Niçoise Identity, and Leisure for All. Marianne Blayau, General Delegate of the Orchestra at School Association, and Thierry Muller, Director of the Nice Regional Conservatory, are also present for this day.
The CE2 students will therefore have the chance to explore musical practice with teachers and students from the Nice Conservatory. They will have the opportunity to take a musical instrument home with them, to continue practicing. The students of Aimé Césaire school are the first to benefit from this operation. This initiative, launched as part of the “Music for All” plan, begins this Thursday, November 17, and will allow students to become a small orchestra of young musicians after three years of work.
The students will thus be able to continue their musical education by joining the Nice Conservatory. This is a real privilege offered to these young CE2 students. We hope that they will discover a true passion for musical practice, thanks to this exceptional initiative.
