Since the beginning of the year, a new mandatory service has been implemented online.
The capital of the French Riviera has announced the launch of a single online portal for urban planning permission requests on its website. This initiative aims to address โthe challenges of simplifying and modernizing public services.โ
Indeed, since January 1, 2022, the State has required French local authorities to be capable of receiving urban planning permission requests electronically to facilitate user procedures.
A user making a request would thus benefit from time savings, simplified procedures, and the ability to track the status of their application at each stage of the process.
The local authority would also be able to process this request faster while adopting a more environmentally friendly and economical approach.
In Nice, one can therefore submit a request for urban planning permission free of charge on the city’s website.
The following documents may be entered and tracked during an application:
- An urban planning certificate,
-
A prior declaration,
-
A building permit,
-
A development permit,
-
A demolition permit.
For those who do not wish to submit their application digitally, the city still offers the possibility to do so [ by appointment->(https://rendez-vous.nice.fr/eAppointment/element/jsp/appointment.jsp)
] or by postal mail*
