In the framework of the urban renewal program for the Moulins area, special attention is being given to local facilities. With the development of the future City of Sports, which will stretch from the Charles Ehrmann Sports Park to the Arboras complex, a new offer of socio-cultural facilities is planned, along with a reorganization of sports spaces for the neighborhood.
The creation of a community center and an AnimaNice in the heart of the neighborhood was approved at the last city council meeting. A consideration of the facility’s programming is underway, involving neighborhood residents, and already planned are the activities typically offered at AnimaNice centers (fitness, baby gym…).
Regarding other sports activities, a new sports complex will expand and significantly improve the sector’s sports offerings with all currently available indoor activities and the addition of new ones. In fact, ongoing studies will soon lead to the presentation of the ambitious “Tour des Sports” project at the entrance of the City of Sports, easily accessible to residents of the Moulins due to its close proximity to the neighborhood.
While awaiting the delivery of this new facility, all activities of the CAL Mercantour complex will be maintained on-site. By the end of 2022, an economic and job-creating project will require the repositioning of activities in the neighborhood, complemented by new socio-cultural and sports facilities. The City of Nice has already worked on the relocation of all these activities within this sector. Therefore, there will be an additional offering in the heart of the Moulins neighborhood.
