Nearly 500 people—according to the police—gathered this Saturday in Nice for the march organized by the collective Nous Toutes 06.
The gathering started in the Libération district at the General-de-Gaulle square, with speeches from the collective Nous Toutes 06, the LGBT center, and Toutes aux frontières.
The procession then headed towards Masséna square to carry out a “Die-In,” where 104 women will represent the French victims of femicides for this year alone in 2021, and observe a minute of silence.
Since January 1st, there have been 104 victims of femicides who have died in France.
