Last year, the Certified Psychotherapists Collective of Nice paid tribute to Jung during a conference. This year, the association has chosen to center its new conference around the topic of crisis, on September 15, 2012. A highly relevant subject… Internationally renowned speakers, such as Guy Corneau, will present at Parc Phoenix from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM. This event aims to show us that a crisis can lead to positive transformation if we accept it…
The crisis? It can be global, national, or individual. But since 2008, we have primarily talked about an economic crisis. It haunts our minds, exasperates us, and causes us anxiety, but for now, no one has a miracle cure to fight it…
On September 15, 2012, this pressing theme will be explored at a conference organized by the Certified Psychotherapists Collective of Nice from a rarely addressed perspective: the therapeutic aspect. One of the objectives? To show that a crisis can be a source of positive change: โif we do not endure it, if we accept to change, only positive can come out of the crisis… it can lead us to a positive transformation,โ says Isabelle Warnaar, the secretary of the Collective and communications manager.
From 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, five speakers will discuss various aspects of the crisis from a Jungian perspective. Michel Cazenave, the representative of Jung in France, will demonstrate that the current crisis is linked to a series of particular crises that stack up; Carole Sรฉdillot, a trainer in mythology and symbolism, lecturer, and writer, will reveal that despite being dangerous, it represents an opportunity for positive evolution; Guy Corneau, a Canadian psychoanalyst, will address the gap between the Self and the Ego, that is, between what we are called to become and what we are becoming; Christine Hardy, will explain that the crisis propels us towards the creation of solutions, innovation, and harmonization. As for Fabien Berrais, the president of the Certified Psychotherapists Collective, he will draw parallels between our personal destinies and the current crisis we are experiencing. Isabelle Warnaar also notes: โAll our actions have repercussions on ourselves but also on the collective.โ She views the crisis as โa necessary regression for positive transformation.โ
