The coronavirus has caused 319 new deaths recorded in hospitals within 24 hours in France, bringing the total to 2,314 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic, according to figures published this Saturday on the government’s website.
According to this latest report, which brings the number of confirmed cases in the country to 37,575, 17,620 patients are hospitalized (+1,888) of which 4,273 are in intensive care, representing a new influx of 486 people in a single day. Meanwhile, 6,624 have been able to return home, including 926 in the last 24 hours.
In the Paca region, eight more people have died from the Covid-19 infection. This brings the total number of deaths to 56.
3,817 people have tested positive for Covid-19 since February 28, which represents 833 new cases in 24 hours.
Among them, 952 were hospitalized (118 more than on Friday). Finally, the number of patients in intensive care in the region’s hospitals amounts to 211 (23 more than the previous day).
