A very heavy financial toll after the climatic disturbances of recent days.
The storms that hit the French Riviera last weekend will cost insurers between 550 million and 650 million euros, according to an estimate published this Friday, October 9, by the French Insurance Association (Afa).
These violent storms and the subsequent floods, among the deadliest in France in recent years, caused the deaths of twenty people in the Alpes-Maritimes. Two Germans are also still missing.
An initial estimate indicates 60,000 victims.
