A painting by Marie Bashkirtseff, the hotel where Romain Gary lived as a teenager, the Russian cemetery and the grave of Katia, Tsarina Alexandra mourning her son who died in Nice, the great warships in the harbor of Villefranche, are a series of images that bring back to life the places and people from the past.
