The Crit’Air vignette in effect in Nice

Latest News

In order to limit the effects of pollution, the Alpes-Maritimes are implementing a “Crit’air” sticker system.

The prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes announced on Friday, September 3. From now on, vehicles will need to be equipped with a Crit’air sticker during pollution peaks.

This measure will be effective from the next pollution episode and applies to: Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Vallauris, Cagnes-sur-Mer, and Saint-Laurent-du-Var.

During episodes of high pollution, only vehicles with a sticker 1, 2, 3, and those that emit few pollutants will be allowed to circulate.

Conversely, motorists with a 4 or 5 sticker will not be allowed to circulate from 6 AM to 8 PM in a designated perimeter.

However, additional precautions may be implemented during pollution episodes. Traffic may be limited to 20 km/h. Public transport and parking prices should be advantageous.

You can obtain a sticker on the Ministry of Ecological Transition’s website for โ‚ฌ3.67 by mail after completing a form, or at prefectures and town halls.

Asthma attacks, eye irritation, the concentration of fine particles degrades air quality and is responsible for many cardiac and respiratory diseases in the long term. This system is already in place in Rouen, Paris, Bordeaux, and Marseille.
