On January 15, Héliotrope, a Nice-based association that promotes short films, will celebrate its 25th anniversary. On this occasion, a series of screenings and meetings will be organized in three cities in the department.
Remember, Héliotrope is the association behind the festival “Un festival c’est trop court,” which took place last September.
Promoting “films under an hour” is Héliotrope’s mission. Remember, this is the association that originated the festival “Un festival c’est trop court!” whose last edition was held last September, in Nice.
To celebrate its quarter-century, Héliotrope has planned a weekend full of meetings and cinematic programs on January 14, 15, and 16 in Nice, Mougins, and Beaulieu-sur-Mer.
Two special guests will be present at this anniversary weekend, including director Emilie Aussel, who will present her latest feature film, *L’été l’éternité* on Friday, January 14 at the Beaulieu cinema. She has already made four short films, some of which have been presented at festivals in France and abroad.
The second special guest will be director Antonin Peretjatko, whose first feature film, *La fille du 14 juillet*, was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes in 2013. He will present his short film *Panique au Sénat* and his medium-length film *Les rendez-vous du samedi* at the Nice cinémathèque this weekend.
