On the occasion of the 4th edition of the festival, which took place from June 3 to 6, Nice became the world capital of sports cinema. An event that honors filmmakers and athletes from all over the globe.
Cannes, watch out! The Nice Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival put on its sneakers and grabbed its camera to pay tribute to sports through cinema. Iran, the Netherlands, Russia, Italy, many nations came together in Nice, the host city of the festival.
The closing ceremony took place at the National Sports Museum on Thursday and awarded the best films presented this year. The competition jury selected the winners from a total of 439 films.
The winners of this 4th Nice Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival are:
- Category “Sport Clip”: Mixar / Honorable Mention: Jonathan Drutel, a man of iron
- Category “Sport Society”: StreetKids United 3 / Honorable Mention: Sport de filles
- Category “Sport Documentary”: Salar
- Category “Sport Movie”: La Montagne dans le sang (Stéphane Diagana)
- Category “Olympic Games”: Three Seconds
- Heritage Award: “100 ans de passion” and “La grande dame du tournoi de Monte Carlo”
