Year after year, Cinéalma has become an unmissable event for cinephiles in the Nice region and beyond.
A high-quality program that allows for the discovery of sometimes lesser-known cinematic productions, an enthusiastic team of volunteers, a loyal and passionate audience (a new attendance record was set once more with over 6,200 attendees for this edition)… In short, all the ingredients are there to create the momentum that leads to success.
This Sunday evening, before watching a magnificent Iranian film, The Salesman by Asghar Farhadi (and yes, there are not only ayatollahs in Iran!), the mayor of Carros, Charles Scibetta, the true heart and driving force of this event, presented the awards to the following winners:
The 1st audience award went to The Olive Tree by Icíar Bollaín (Spain), followed in order by “Lea” by Marco Tullio Giordana (Italy) and the Tunisian film Borders of the Sky.
The Crédit Agricole award for the unreleased film was granted to Techo y Comida by Juan Miguel del Castilla.
The curtain has fallen on this edition which, we reiterate, was remarkable.
Eager to see the 2017 edition!
