In order to protect cyclists on the road, who do not have a body shell to protect them, signs with a blue or white background are installed on metropolitan roads, indicating in particular the minimum 1.5 meters needed to overtake a bicycle.
Other informational and directional signs have also been installed by the Metropolis services.
“Because it is always interesting to know how far we are from the summit, the altitude, the remaining elevation, or even the difficulty of the slope in percentage,” stated the President of the metropolis, Christian Estrosi, who was present with 200 cyclists at the Col de Vence during the presentation of the initiative.
On this occasion, he also reminded that an important Mobility Plan, intended notably for cyclists, would be unveiled at the beginning of October.
