March 20 was proclaimed by the United Nations, in 2012, as the International Day of Happiness.
On this day, every citizen will find their happiness among the planned program of activities, as the municipality intends to bring the people of Nice together around strong values such as fraternity and solidarity.
A Village of Happiness — at Place Pierre Gautier — with about twenty stands will be dedicated to well-being and good living: sports, meditation, laughter therapy, food, dance, gardening, etc., with festive activities: world dances, clown shows, fashion parades, and two giant flash mobs, one for children and the other for adults.
At the Mediterranean University Center , conferences, interviews, and debates around well-being and self-awareness (with the Graine2Sésame Association) will be held, in partnership with the Positive Psychology Congress (taking place at the same time in Nice), featuring “Laugh or Dope Yourself on Happiness” illustrated by burlesque skits.
In all neighborhoods, municipal services (libraries, film library, senior residences…), partner associations, and institutions will offer the public the best welcome in all neighborhoods and share their moments of emotion and happiness, each in their own specialty.
At the Casino Ruhl *, the dancing evening “Happiness is as simple as a meeting” will celebrate the transition from winter to spring through dancing and singing.
