Spring is arriving and with it, for the 7th consecutive year, it will be celebrated throughout France as the “Macaron Day,” created at the initiative of Pierre Hermé. Thus, on March 20th, Relais Desserts pastry chefs invite food enthusiasts to come and discover this colorful treat with endless flavors.
A Macaron for a Donation
This year, once again, Relais Desserts and Pascal Lac, the renowned chocolatier from Nice, have chosen to link this day to a noble cause, mobilizing in favor of autism, designated as a “Great National Cause 2012.”
Still largely unknown to the general public, autism concerns 1 in 150 children in France.
Therefore, on that day, Valérie and Pascal LAC have decided that a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of macarons will be donated to the Alexandre association, an amount which can be increased by the generosity of visitors who can also make a direct donation to the association.
Its president, Madame Pugnière, and members will be present in each shop to offer for sale the lovely macaron-shaped keychains given to them by Valérie and Pascal Lac.
This operation will take place in the three Lac shops.
It is in a delicious and festive atmosphere that pastry chefs, customers, and volunteers will rally for a generous and gourmet day!
