These days, from November 18 to 23, serve as a reminder of how important it is to preserve in order to pass on values to younger generations.

As was reminded on this occasion, more than 2,000 students have voluntarily chosen to study the Niçois language in various schools in Nice and its region, while over 300 have opted for this option as a subject for the baccalaureate.

Special classes have been opened to meet this increasing demand each year. Why? A desire to reconnect with one’s roots in a globalized era where everything is standardized?

For now, 18 young students from various schools, middle schools, and high schools received prizes from the Escola de Bellanda, the oldest Niçois association, followed by the 14 who had chosen “Nissart” for the baccalaureate.

The slogan of the evening could have been: Looking back to better advance into the future.

A real breath of fresh air in an increasingly polluted daily life.
