The world of hearing is undergoing a real revolution. New devices aimed at promoting better listening are now on sale. From January 23 to 25 in Nice, the Augier Deafness Center has opened its doors.
For these free technical days, a Siemens technician and the audiologist in charge are there to answer all questions. On this occasion, the Acuris Life is presented. A close-up look at cutting-edge technology.
They are small, lightweight, and effective. These new sound devices are the Acuris Life and the Sebotek. Two latest-generation systems. And although the Sebotek is the most recent, it is indeed the Acuris Life that is being highlighted at the Augier Deafness Center. Its national release was almost a year ago. Between two consultations, the manager and audiology specialist, Bernard Dassa, lists the positive aspects of this hearing aid.
For a price ranging between 1500 and 2000 euros per unit, this device offers a range of high-definition qualities. Besides being the first hearing aid for listening in surround and stereo sound, it is wireless, discreet, and comfortable. The man makes a point to note: “There are two models available. The AM is designed for people with moderate hearing loss, and the AP is suited to more severe acoustic losses.” The latter includes manual or automatic volume control. Simple to use, it also allows for adjusting settings with a remote control.
And for the design touch: this miniature product is available in 12 different colors! Something to please everyone! Many advantages have already led to deaf individuals purchasing it. “And it’s not over yet. More and more patients are showing interest in this type of equipment. For me, word of mouth works best.” This is, at least, what Bernard Dassa explains. This independent specialist is pleased to have selected this product among a multitude of devices on the market. “I made this choice based on the technical specifications and the reliability of the device. Quality is paramount to me.”
Another significant detail: the Acuris Life can eliminate background noise to focus on speech during a conversation. And watch out for excessive decibels! It stops them dead with a click. Progress in this field is phenomenal. But with nearly five million people with hearing disabilities in France, hearing aids continue to evolve… Making life easier.
