The Festival, street performances make their return to Antibes for the fifteenth consecutive year. It was at the Anthéa atrium that Simone Torres Foret Dodelin, deputy for culture, inaugurated the event accompanied by Olivier Riouffe, president of the Culture Leisure Association in Antibes, and other officials. Around a buffet freshly provided by the municipality, the spectators were able to enjoy an aerial dance performance entitled “3 solis”, a suspended choreography performed three times to three pieces of music representative of their era.

A unique event for the town, as all the performances are free. An effective way for the town hall to allow all residents to enjoy the various cultural activities. “This performance brings a lot of happiness and joy to the town. It’s an opportunity to gather and share moments of conviviality,” adds Simone Torres.

And the venture has a cost. The festival is supported by local authorities and private partners, but the financial situation remains precarious. Therefore, other means are used to sustain the Déantibulations. A hat will be passed around until the end of the festival at each performance to collect contributions, and drinks and small dishes will be sold by volunteers to finance the event. These small performances will be presented throughout the four corners of the town. A pleasant way to discover street dance until June 10th.
