Other deliberations were adopted in yesterday’s session in Isola.
- A multimodal fare system will be implemented on January 1, 2020: this zonal fare will cover the Alpes-Maritimes area and the Principality of Monaco. Travel by TER, on the Provence Railways, as well as regional interurban lines, will be affected by this measure, which will be formalized by an agreement signed by the president of the Metropolis.
- Introduction of a period of free service upon the commissioning of tram lines 2 and 3: the free service will take effect from the day and time of the inauguration of the Magnan/Jean Médecin section. This period will last a maximum of 3 days. The inauguration will be held on June 28th.
- Implementation of a social water pricing scheme as part of the update of public service tariffs in the Metropolis: the pricing experiment is governed by the Brottes law of April 15, 2013. Hervé Paul, president of the Eau Azur Authority, added that there are “ongoing studies at the ministerial level.”
- Perspectives on metropolitan European action: the Metropolis is involved in numerous European projects concerning local and territorial public action. The Metropolis supports the negotiation strategy that will be implemented for the upcoming EU funding programming period, from 2021 to 2027.
- Allocation of social aid for metropolitan agents in terms of well-being, health, and quality of life at work.
