For more than thirty years, on Chemin du Canal des Arrosants in the Ariane neighborhood, a 7-story building has remained in the shell stage. This unfinished construction, nicknamed the “carcass of Ariane,” has gradually deteriorated and become unsanitary.

Since 2008, the municipality has initiated all the procedures to purchase this eyesore and the land surrounding it. The acquisition took place in the spring of 2012, after an intensive legal battle lasting nearly four years: the demolition project for this carcass began on May 23.
