Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, and David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes, President of CACPL, and President of the Association of French Mayors, have signed a funding contract for the Cannes Pays de Lรฉrins Agglomeration Community (CACPL) and the city of Cannes.


The Alpes-Maritimes Department supports the future of its municipalities through the Horizon 2026 territorial contracts. They are investing in departmental interest projects that fall within the GREEN and SMART Deal framework. The ecological and digital transition is central. A budget of 150 million euros has been approved.

The Cannes Pays de Lรฉrins Agglomeration Community will benefit from 28 million euros, of which twelve are reserved for the city of Cannes. The Department will thus finance twenty-three operations.
La Croisette will be beautified and protected.
The center of Cannes La Bocca will also be beautified and developed. vehicles will be renewed with electric and hydrogen buses. The sewage networks of La Croisette will be restructured.
The Aquaviva sewage treatment plant will undergo sludge methanation.
La Malmaison will host the new modern and contemporary art center of Cannes, the PAMoCC.

Until 2026, the Department will invest nearly 1.2 billion euros in total, for 138 operations. The goal is to improve the quality of life for Maralpins.

Charles Ange Ginรฉsy expresses his desire to “support municipalities and intermunicipalities in their major structural projects, for a virtuous and controlled development of the Alpes-Maritimes.” The president recalls that “the city of Cannes and its surroundings constitute an essential hub of the Department, with international influence and a strong and innovative economy.”

David Lisnard highlights “a methodical and massive collaboration, around a common ecological goal and improvement of the living environment”. For him, the Department is “a constant and particularly proactive partner for the development of our living area,” and “continues its constructive and essential support for strategic projects.”
