In the context of the SMART Deal departmental policy, the community is innovating further with the creation of a “Health Corner.” In this space, the Department is currently experimenting with an initial connected telemedicine booth.
This booth is part of the Department’s 2022-2028 Health Plan for Alpes-Maritimes and is one of the solutions considered in response to the medical desertification in rural areas.
For the President of the community, Charles-Ange Ginésy: “We want to implement a proactive health prevention policy with the goal of addressing the difficulties in accessing healthcare and the abandonment of healthcare by the most precarious or vulnerable populations.”
After evaluation, this tool is intended to be deployed throughout the Maralpin territory, as part of the departmental plan to combat medical deserts.
This initiative includes providing a soundproof isolated booth, equipped with connected peripheral medical devices, consumables, means of disinfection, and a connection to a platform of authorized and referenced doctors.
It allows an agent (either by appointment or as a walk-in) to connect with a dedicated teleconsultation platform managed by the company Medadom, ensuring a quality consultation with general practitioners recognized by the Medical Council.
