A 28-year-old woman, a recipient of the RSA (Revenu de Solidaritรฉ Active), was sentenced by the criminal court for public apology of a terrorist act and possession of documents glorifying such acts.
This woman, who is also listed on the S-file, was checked upon her return from Tunisia, in possession of jihadist propaganda documents and numerous images of scenes of torture and decapitation.
Eric Ciotti, the Department’s president, decided to immediately stop the payment of her benefits.
Furthermore, the situation of this resident of Le Cannet, who had been regularly receiving the RSA since April 2014, is now subject to a thorough review with a view to her retroactive removal from the RSA.
Indeed, a recipient’s extended stay abroad is a valid reason for suspension of RSA payments and, if confirmed, allows for the retroactive reclaim of payments made.
