In the presence of the Chief Rabbi of France, Haรฏm Korsia, and Annette Cabelli, an Auschwitz survivor, Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy, president of the Departmental Council, presented the Charles-Gottlieb awards, which recognize the work of the schools participating in the Journey of Memory. These trips are organized annually to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp.
The goal of these departmental council memory trips is educational: to learn history so that this page never repeats itself.
