A promotional tool for the Azurean territory, the CRT Côte d’Azur France, currently presided over by Alexandra Borchio-Fontimp, had seen its funding significantly reduced following the withdrawal of the Sud Region in August 2021; a withdrawal that sparked strong reactions from Maralpin elected officials and tourism professionals, in a strained economic and health context.
This specific aid, unanimously voted for in 2022, represents a total compensation by the Department for the support no longer provided by the Region.
“The Department thus reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a local tourism promotion organization that meets the specific needs of the Maralpin territory, aiming for a multi-target approach on both French and foreign markets, while emphasizing the duality of sea and mountain,” declared Charles-Ange Ginésy, president of the Departmental Council.
