This 7th edition was held at the Acropolis Palace in Nice, with Linda Hardy, Miss France 1992, actress, and former contestant of the show “Dancing with the Stars,” serving as the jury president. 2,500 enthusiastic spectators came to cheer on the dancers who came from all over the department.
This couple ballroom dance competition was launched in February 2014. Whether they came as couples or solo, ballroom dance enthusiasts or amateurs, 20 candidates were selected to participate in this great annual competition offered as part of the “Seniors in Action!” program of the Alpes-Maritimes department.
10 couples of dancers shared the stage of the Apollon hall and competed in 3 decisive events: the Tango, the Rock Swing, and the Waltz.
The jury members selected the following winners:
3rd prize: Mrs. Katty BREMA and Mr. Jean-Jacques DESCAMPS from Nice.
2nd prize: Mrs. Mireille BLAIN and Mr. Vincent BLAIN from Peillon.
1st prize: Mrs. Christine BONIOL and Mr. Gérard BONIOL from Nice.
This exceptional show was also an opportunity to discover Mariora Cheptene and Steeve Gaudet, triple world champions of sports dance, who performed dance demonstrations between the various performances of the finalist couples.
