The Departmental Council is launching the 10th call for health projects.

A tenth call for health projects has been open since yesterday. A project launched 13 years ago by the department (end of 2005).

Applications will be circulated exclusively in digital format, available at the address: www.departement06.fr or upon simple request to the email address: aapsante2018@departement06.fr

Projects must be returned by email to the indicated address no later than March 23.

The projects will be evaluated and then validated during the permanent commission in June, before the proclamation at the end of June 2018.


The presentation speech began with thanks to Professor Daniel Benchimol, the Honorary President of the new edition.

A man with “unfailing” commitment, said Charles Anges Ginesy, President of the Department of Alpes Maritimes, who further detailed the major role he played in the department’s health policy and was the dean of the faculty of medicine at the University of Nice.

According to Charles Anges Ginesy, Professor Daniel Benchimol’s initiative has equipped the Alpes Maritimes with effective and technological equipment that advances the fight against cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, disability, and rare diseases.

The previous calls for projects represent

  • 205 innovative projects, accompanied by 28.5 million euros in departmental aid.

The calls for projects enable concrete advancements for the benefit of medical teams and patients.

In the fight against cancer:

โ€“ 3D laparoscopy equipment at the Lacassagne center

โ€“ the neurosurgery units of the Lenval foundation

โ€“ the work of Dr. Pr Paul Hofman at the Nice University Hospital on lung cancer.

Neurodegenerative diseases and loss of autonomy

โ€“ The work of Pr Frederick Checler is contributing to a better understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and identifying therapeutic pathways without drastic side effects.

For Disability

โ€“ the Spring army of the ORSAC Mont-Fleuri clinic in Grasse
โ€“ the equipment of IEM Rosseti for patients with motor disabilities.

Innovation, e-health and environment:

Thanks to these developments, the Alpes Maritimes are now a reference territory in health matters. This tenth call will further strengthen this dynamic. Professor Thierry Piche’s expertise will be a great assistance.

Charles Anges Ginesy, President of the Alpes Maritimes Department, then goes over the topics of this tenth edition and the operating budget.

The main themes he mentions for the tenth health call are

โ€“ Cancer screening and treatment
โ€“ The treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and disability
โ€“ E-health and new technologies
โ€“ Knowledge of the impact of the environment on health

He is particularly proud of the last two mentioned, as they allow for an in-depth exploration of certain new challenges. Challenges resonating with the Smart Deal and the Green Deal.

He entrusts the presidency of the expert committee, tasked with determining the list of selected applications, to Mrs. Barbara Demeneix (professor at the National Museum of Natural History, and also Director of the Laboratory of Evolution of Endocrine Regulations).

Charles Anges Ginesy, President of the Alpes Maritimes, details her training, distinctions, and collaborations with leading European laboratories.

An expert assisted by Professor Jean-Franรงois Seitz from the Timone Hospital in Marseille, Joรซl Ankri from INSERM for the neurodegenerative diseases section, and finally Philipe Burnel from the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs concerning e-health.
