In the face of the mask shortage, the Departmental Council of the Alpes-Maritimes has decided to make available to the Nice University Hospital the batches of masks that the community possesses.
Thus, in agreement with the Regional Health Agency (ARS), the Department distributed 38,000 masks it had held since the H1N1 flu episode. These masks were duly tested beforehand by the Central Service for Quality and Pharmaceutical Information of the Public Assistance – Hospitals of Marseille to ensure that defective batches were excluded.
In addition, 6,000 new masks acquired by the community at the beginning of January 2020 were also given to the university hospital center.
In total, the Departmental Council of the Alpes-Maritimes delivered 44,000 masks to the Nice University Hospital this morning.
