The details of the €100 bonus announced by Jean Castex

Latest News

In response to the rise in energy prices, particularly gasoline, the government announced on Thursday, October 21, the implementation of a financial aid of 100€ for the French people.

This tax-free financial aid of 100 € announced by Prime Minister Jean Castex concerns a total of 38 million French people.
It is not monthly and will therefore be paid in one installment.

Regardless of your status, whether you own a car or not, you will be able to receive the aid without any paperwork involved.
As Jean Castex stated, “The only condition is an income condition”: that is, having an income below 2,000 € per month.

For employees, this aid will be paid around the end of December directly by their employer.
For those in another category (retirees, apprentices, self-employed, job seekers…), the payment will be made at the beginning of next year between January and February.

This last category also includes scholarship students and financially independent students, who represent about 66% of the total.
They, too, will be entitled to the “inflation allowance” of 100 euros as mentioned by Gabriel Attal on France 2: “Inflation can also affect students. There are other prices besides fuel that are rising. For many students, it is challenging to make ends meet.”
