This Wednesday at the Parvis du Cal Bon Voyage, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Unis-Citรฉ, the pioneer association of the Civic Service in France, is organizing, in collaboration with the association Le Smart-Up Hub, a “disco soup” to combat food waste.
The day will take place under the slogan: Do you want to do something for the planet while having fun? Come in large numbers for this great moment of shared pleasure and soups!
“Disco Soups” are collective sessions open to all, featuring the peeling of discarded, unsold, or secondhand fruits and vegetables in a musical and festive atmosphere!
According to Julie-Anne Lisieki, Unis-Citรฉ program coordinator in Nice: “We make soups, salads, fruit juices, and we redistribute them for free. During the event, we of course raise awareness among our participants about this cause by showing them the quality of fruits and vegetables destined for the trash, and by giving them concrete ways to take action every day, from their homes.”
