This Friday at 8:30 PM at the Mercury cinema, organized by the Alpes-Maritimes Department, there will be a screening of the documentary “SEMPER VIVENS,” which retraces a century of basketball history in Antibes and its Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

The history of basketball in Antibes is closely linked to its inhabitants and those of the surrounding communities.

These places have been influenced by major historical events (World War I and II, the Popular Front…) that have had a decisive impact on their history. This is what the audience will discover throughout this film, which covers various aspects: historical, of course, but also sociological, political, economic, emotional, and naturally, sports-related.

This film received the highest award at the Sports Film Festival in the “historical sports documentary” series, which took place in Nice on May 31, 2018. It also earned the highest awards in the “team sports documentary” category at the International Festival of Sports Cinema (FICTS) in Milan on November 19, 2018, bringing together winners from five continents.
