The deputy of Alpes-Maritimes, Cรฉdric Roussel, president of the “Sport Economy” study group of the National Assembly, and Franรงois Cormier-Bouligeon, president of the “Sport” study group, have presented 50 measures to Prime Minister Jean Castex to revitalize French sport.

Today we conclude publishing all the proposals that, if implemented, should make a significant difference.

We now await to see if they will be adopted.


Support and better regulate professional sports

42- Promote a more equitable distribution of television rights for women’s professional clubs.

43- Mandate women’s sections in professional clubs.

44- Shift from a competition logic to a logic of cooperation and pooling among professional sports entities: development of multi-sport offerings, employer groups, joint investments in sports facilities.

45- Allow federations and sports clubs to establish themselves as SCIC (cooperative society of collective interest) to enable them to develop their activities within the broader framework of the social and solidarity economy (SSE).

46- Combat illegal sports streaming by establishing a dynamic blocking system for offending sites.

47- Strengthen the oversight powers of the federal bodies performing the functions of national management control directions.

48- Require clubs and/or professional leagues to establish equity to improve their resilience in case of crisis.

49- Intensify the development and promotion of the High-Performance Athlete Pact among companies.

50- Bring the issue of regulating professional sports to the European level with the aim of the French Presidency of the EU (January-June 2022).
