After several dull matches, the Eagles have regained their edge and pulled off a surprise by defeating Grenoble, second in the standings.
Before this trip to the Côte d’Azur, the Brûleurs de loups, who are the runners-up to Rouen, had secured two victories against Amiens (2-1) and Strasbourg (4-2).
The Eagles, on the other hand, had experienced a losing streak (10th before this 16th matchday) with three losses in a row against Mulhouse (2-4), Rouen (1-4), and Amiens (2-3).
The victory was clear, and the Nice team led the game throughout: 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 were the scores at the end of each period, despite Grenoble’s superior shots on goal: 38-29.
