What an evening! Stan Sutor’s men put on a true ice show for the Nice public! Solid, efficient, with beautiful individual and collective actions, an imperial goalkeeper, all the ingredients were gathered for a great evening at Jean Bouin.
Initially struggling in the first third, which ended in a sterile 0-0 at the end of the first period, they managed to open up the game and force Annecy to play, making the rest of the match much simpler. In the second period, Nice scored 2 superb goals thanks to good work from the Slovak line (KROTAK, MAJERNIK, SLANINAK, TOMASKA).
In the third period, Annecy collapsed physically, failing to keep up the necessary pace. Nice took advantage and scored 4 additional goals, including some very beautiful collective goals, delighting the Nice supporters.
Nice gradually took control of the match before cementing their dominance in the final period. It was a serious performance for the Azoreans, combining collective efficiency, realism in front of the goal, the invincibility of the goalkeeper, and even the entry of young Nice players at the very end of the match.
The Niรงois are now in 3rd place in the French D1 championship and have 2 weeks to prepare for the next away game in Anglet on October 13th.
