The Eagles of Nice have a week of preparation before hosting the Avalanche of Mont-Blanc on Saturday, October 20 at 7:15 p.m.
The Eagles of Nice won 3-2 in Anglet
Right from the start of the first period, the Eagles put pressure on the opponent’s goalkeeper and created multiple chances. It took 13 minutes to manage to shake the net thanks to a magnificent pass from the Finnish defender, Joni Raikkonen to Janne Kumpulainen.
Two minutes later, Arne Krotak scored the second goal of the evening. End of the first period (0-2). The team from Nice perfectly controlled the match.
At mid-game, Jozef Slaninak outpaced a defender and tricked the Angloy goalkeeper (0-3). The Eagles continued to put on a show in front of the opposing goal, but the goalkeeper, Eddy Ferhi, kept Hormadie in the match.
A few minutes later, Dave Grenier opened Anglet’s score with a somewhat lucky shot… (1-3).
They needed to hold on for 20 minutes to secure the two points for the victory in Anglet. The team from Nice slowed down, and Anglet, spurred on by the crowd, got back into the game with 3 minutes left before the final whistle!
In the end, the Eagles won the match with a score of 3-2.
