On Monday, March 12, 2012, the 20th anniversary ceremony of the Nice campus of EDHEC will take place in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, and Olivier Oger, General Director of the EDHEC Group.
Driven by a strong desire to develop and support higher education, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and the General Council have provided financial support. A grant of €3.5 million each was given for phase 3 of the campus development, and participation for phase 4 is ongoing.
Located in Nice on the prestigious Promenade des Anglais, the campus currently hosts
160 staff members, 25% of whom are international, and 1,700 students, 30% of whom are international. These students are distributed across various initial and continuing education programs.

The continuing education programs offer intra- and inter-company training courses, including the CSM, Advanced Management Cycle in blended learning. The campus houses a world-renowned Research Center in Finance: the EDHEC Risk Institute, created by locals ten years ago, which now also has a global presence from London and Singapore.
In total, 1,200 graduates of the EDHEC Group live in the Nice region, with 51% of them working in the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis. Among them, 19% are in the commerce and distribution sector, 14% in telecommunications and ICT sector, and 13% in the services field.
The first phase of the project was inaugurated on November 11, 1991. Celebrating this anniversary today, in 2012, allows us to measure the progress made over 20 years and to thank all the local economic partners that have contributed to this collective success.
For this evening, the EDHEC group has called upon the talents of its graduates, including performances by singer Emilie Satt, an ESPEME graduate from the Vertigo group, and Thomas Barberis, creator of the company Kréatis and an ESPEME graduate (catering and event organization).
This anniversary marks only a milestone with phase 4 of building construction underway, with the assistance of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis. The architectural firm ABC Architectes, represented by Jean-Philippe CABANE, is constructing a lateral R+7 building, which will be completed by 2013. The Nice campus is well aligned with the innovative, international, and sustainable dynamic of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, and the EDHEC group confirms its economic role in this unique territory at the heart of the Mediterranean basin.
