The elite meet at the Nice International Half Marathon

Latest News

The 21st edition of the Nice International Half Marathon will once again focus on performance with a lineup of high-level athletes.

The 2009 winner of the Nice International Half Marathon and the current record holder of the event with a time of exactly 1 hour, Kenyan Titus MASAร, will strive to set a new record. Alongside him, his compatriot Paul LONYANGATA, who has a personal best of 59:53 at the last Berlin Half Marathon, will also aim to establish his presence in this 21st edition of the Nice International Half Marathon.

We should not forget Kenyan Bernard KOECH or Ethiopians Merkebu AYELE and Andualem SHIFERA, all with personal bests around the 60-minute mark, who could cause a surprise.

The front of the women’s race is expected to be led by Kenyans Linet CHEPKURUI (personal best of 67:47) and Pauline NJERI (personal best of 67:55), who are likely to keep their competitors at bay.

The competition is already promising to be very tight and could result in a new record for the event if all conditions are right.
