The Nice-Matin group’s titles are on the verge of bankruptcy. The end seems inevitable and fatal. By the end of September, the verdict will be given. Placed under judicial reorganization, the management promises to “lay off” between 800 to 400 of the 1100 employees who report your everyday life.
“However, we are the reed of the regional daily press. Okay, we’ll bend, but we’re determined not to break. We have no intention of erecting barricades; we just plan to take the investor-bosses at their own game. It’s on their playing field that we will challenge them. They want to buy us out to profit off us, we’re raising the stakes,” explain the organizers of this initiative.
An attempt that everyone hopes to see succeed, injecting new energy into a paper that seemed closer to its end than its beginning.
