This year, the Enduro des Portes du Mercantour hosts the only French stage of the Enduro World Cup in Valberg, a consecration for our department.
450 riders are participating in this 7th round of the Enduro World Series (EWS).
On September 17th and 18th, in Valberg and on the trails of the upper Var Valley, the world’s best enduro riders will compete on the paths that have brought international fame to this sport.
Among them: François Bailly-Maître from Jura (two-time defending champion) and local stars Florian Nicolaï (winner in 2013) and Nicolas Vouilloz (winner in 2012), who will undoubtedly do their best to shine at home and add a new achievement to their records, despite the competition being tougher than ever, notably led by the reigning world champion and EWS leader: the young American prodigy Richie Rude.
An Azurean team that will also be brilliantly represented by Cécile Ravanel and Isabeau Courdurier, leading the women’s rankings, and by Adrien Dailly, currently second in the under-21 category behind his compatriot from Provence, Sébastien Claquin.
