The toll of the epidemic as of Monday evening was at least 20,265 deaths: with 444 more deaths in hospitals over the past 24 hours and 7,752 deaths in nursing homes.
The number of hospitalized patients (30,584) and those admitted to intensive care (5,863) continues to decrease slowly.
