Facing the worsening epidemic in France, the Prime Minister announced this Friday the extension of the lockdown by at least two weeks.
The latest report on the Covid-19 epidemic caused by the coronavirus reports an additional 299 deaths between Thursday and Friday, bringing the total number of hospital deaths to 1,995.
In total, 15,732 people are currently hospitalized, including 3,787 in intensive care, while since March 1st, 5,700 others, who have recovered, have been able to leave the hospital.
In the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur region, the figures are as follows:
823 hospitalized, including 186 in intensive care. 48 deaths and 642 people have returned home.
In the Alpes-Maritimes: 99 people are hospitalized (14 more patients than the day before), including 22 in intensive care. There have been 12 deaths.
